Everton fail in bid for Inter midfielder

Everton have seen an opening €18m offer for Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic rejected by the Serie A side, according to Sportske Novosti.

Brozovic has been regularly linked with a move to England in the past, with Arsenal and Manchester United both previously showing an interest in the Croatia international.

The Toffees have joined the lengthy list of admirers in the 24-year-old, but have been rebuffed in their efforts to land the Croat.

Inter are holding out for bids of upwards of €20m after newly appointed head coach Luciano Spalletti gave the green light to cash in on the midfielder.

Brozovic only penned a new deal with Inter until 2021 back in December, yet is keen on a move to England this summer.
