Wolves join race for Tottenham and Chelsea target

Wolves have entered the race to sign Thomas Lemar from Atletico Madrid this month, reports Sport Witness.

There is plenty of Premier League interest in Lemar this month, who has found playing time hard to come by in Spain this season.

Indeed, the 24-year-old has registered just 768 minutes of LaLiga action this season and head coach Diego Simeone is prepared to sanction his exit in the January window.

Tottenham and Chelsea had been credited with an interest in the France international, but Wolves have since come into the reckoning to land the former Monaco man.

It's thought that Wolves and Atletico's good working relationship with Jorge Mendes will play a huge factor in Lemar's possible switch to Molineux.

Atletico are keen on allowing Lemar to leave permanently, but will accept a loan deal with a move to a transfer in order to recoup most, if not all of, the €70m they paid to sign the midfielder from Monaco 18 months ago.
