Former Tottenham flop linked with sensational Barcelona switch
Barcelona are pondering a summer move for former Tottenham flop Paulinho, according to Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo.
The Brazil international has impressed for Chinese Super League side Guangzhou Evergrande since sealing a move away from Spurs in 2015.
Indeed, he has made more tackles (116) than any other player in the Chinese Super League since March 2016.
His good form in the Far East has seen him linked with a move to Barcelona, who are keen to bolster their midfield ranks and have supposedly reached an agreement for the signing of Lucas Lima at the end of the year.
The La Liga giants were linked with a move for the 28-year-old before his move to Spurs in 2013, though an agreement was already in place between the Premier League side and Corinthians before they could make a move.
With Arda Turan and Andre Gomes expected to leave Camp Nou this summer, head coach Ernesto Valverde is keen to improve his midfield options, with Paulinho thought to be on his wanted list.
