West Ham remain keen on Napoli man

West Ham are considering a move for Napoli striker Manolo Gabbiadini when the January transfer window opens, reports Goal.com via Rai Sport.

The Hammers made a move for the Italian over the summer, but Napoli opted to retain Gabbiadini when it became apparent that Gonzalo Higuain would leave for Juventus.

West Ham instead moved for Simone Zaza, but the Italian has failed to make an impact in east London following his switch, with reports suggesting the frontman will return to his homeland in the New Year.

That would leave the club short in the final third, with West Ham considering a return for Gabbiadini, who is suspended for Napoli’s trip to Juventus on Saturday night.

The 24-year-old has struggled to cover for the injured Arakdiusz Milik, netting just one goal in eight Serie A appearances this season and he could welcome a change in scenery in January, with manager Slaven Bilic expected to renew his interest in Gabbiadini in the coming weeks.
