Manchester United prepared to sell superstar to Real Madrid this summer

Manchester United are ready to do business with Real Madrid for star goalkeeper David de Gea just two years after his failed move to the Spanish capital, reports Marca.

De Gea has re-emerged as one of Madrid’s top transfer targets this summer as they finally look to secure a long-term successor for Iker Casillas, who departed the club for Porto in 2015.

The United ace was on course to join Madrid that same summer only for his move to collapse on deadline day before the 26-year-old signed a new long-term deal with the Premier League giants to put the saga behind him.

However, Madrid are now back in the market for De Gea and United are reportedly now willing to do business with the reigning European champions, although they won’t allow the goalkeeper to secure his dream move without a fight and will want their terms matched.

De Gea hasn’t had his best season for United and Jose Mourinho has reportedly even been unhappy with his form of late but he was still named in the PFA Team of the Year last week. In fact, no goalkeeper has kept more clean sheets in the Premier League this season than De Gea (13).
