London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham eye Manchester United graduate
Arsenal and Tottenham are set to battle for the signature of Everton centre-back Michael Keane this summer, claims The Daily Mail.
Both north London rivals are keen to bolster their defensive options at the end of the season and have identified Keane as a top transfer target.
Keane has endured a turbulent time at Everton since joining from Burnley in a £30m deal in the summer of 2017.
The England international is enjoying a good run of form at the moment and his displays have alerted two of the Premier League’s top-six.
Keane was heavily linked with a return to Manchester United prior to joining Everton but the Red Devils appear to have passed on the 26-year-old.
With Toby Alderweireld set to leave Tottenham at the end of the season, Mauricio Pochettino will almost certainly have to sign a replacement.
Arsenal have been poor defensively and Unai Emery is keen to find a solution at the back, with Keane high in his thoughts.
Only Cardiff’s Sean Morrison (6.6) is winning more aerial duels per game than Keane (5.6) of all defenders in the Premier League this season.
