Leonardo Bonucci insists there is no truth in suggestions he will leave AC Milan this summer.
The Italy international made a shock move from Juventus to Milan last summer but has been linked with an exit after just 12 months at the club.
Milan are thought to be under financial pressure after missing out on Champions League football for next season.
Manchester United have been linked as a potential destination for Bonucci this summer, but the 31-year-old insists there is no truth in speculation.
“There is no problem whatsoever [at Milan],” The Daily Mail quote Bonucci as telling Sky Sport Italia.
“I hope these rumours will be put to bed so we can build something important.
“We’re aiming to return to the Champions League and to compete for big objectives.”
Milan invested heavily into their squad last summer, including a £35m deal for Bonucci, but Gennaro Gattuso’s side only managed a sixth place finish.
The 31-year-old still has four years remaining on his current deal and his latest comments would suggest Milan will have to sell one of their other star players to comply with Financial Fair Play obligations.
Bonucci endured a fairly underwhelming season for Milan, finishing with his lowest WhoScored rating (6.79) in a league campaign since his first year at Juventus in 2010 (6.78).
Only Raul Albiol (301) completed more accurate long balls than Bonucci (268) of all outfielders in Serie A last season.
