Burnley are interested in signing Stoke City midfielder Charlie Adam, reports the Lancashire Telegraph.
Adam, 30, dropped down the pecking order under Mark Hughes last season and doesn’t appear to feature in the Potters’ plans going forward.
Burnley boss Sean Dyche is determined to add Premier League experience to his squad before the start of next season and is pondering a move for the former Liverpool midfielder.
Adam only made 12 starts in the Premier League last season, which marked his lowest involvement in the last six seasons. His return of one goal and one assist is also the lowest in that time, as was the 6.46 WhoScored.com rating he garnered.
