West Ham have met AZ Alkmaar’s €20m (£16.8m) asking price for striker Vincent Janssen but the striker only wants to join Tottenham this summer, claims Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, via 101 Great Goals.
Janssen, 24, has heavily linked with a move away from Alkmaar this summer and has reportedly already agreed terms with Tottenham.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side have already had one bid rejected by the Dutch outside and must match their €20m demands to sign the striker, something that has frustrated Janssen.
West Ham have now paid the full asking price but Slaven Bilic’s team have been told Janssen has no intentions of joining them and is still hoping to secure a move to Tottenham before the start of next season.
Janssen finished as the top goalscorer in the Eredivisie last season (27) after scoring 17 of those in 2016.
